Dear Guest,

Nothing beats face-to-face connections to build relationships. However, our digitally-connected world also requires mastery of online networking strategies to grow and expand our business networks.

Women's Network Australia has been hosting in-person networking for over 30 years, and continues to deliver great events. We also support our Members with their use of sophisticated tactics aimed at elevating their online networking prowess. This month, WNA will begin rolling out use of BeeKonnected as our preferred platform for virtual meetings, webinars, networking, and business growth. BeeKonnected combines the services of virtual platforms like Zoom and Teams, but also links with social media and allows us to create branded profiles and groups. Use this link if you'd like to check it out - it is free. Or take part in an exclusive preview and chat with the woman behind this incredible platform:

📆 Save the Date: February 15th, 7:30am Qld time

We will be sharing more about this platform and how it can benefit your business, as well as delivering our virtual events throughout the year.

Here are some more tips on how to make the most of digital connections as part of your networking strategy:

  1. Use data-driven insights: Embrace the wealth of data available within digital networking platforms to gain deeper insights into your target audience, industry trends, and emerging opportunities. Leverage analytics tools to track engagement metrics, identify key influencers, and tailor your networking approach for maximum impact. Example: Use LinkedIn's analytics dashboard to monitor post performance, identify trending topics and refine your content strategy to resonate with your audience's interests and preferences.

  2. Create content that establishes your thought leadership: Curate and share insightful content, participate in thought-provoking discussions, and offer valuable perspectives that resonate with your target audience. Consistently delivering high-quality, thought-provoking content can enhance your credibility and attract meaningful connections. Example: Publish articles on platforms like Medium  addressing timely industry challenges, sharing best practices, and offering innovative solutions that demonstrate your expertise and thought leadership.

  3. Dig a little deeper: Invest time getting to know your online connections on a deeper level, understand their professional goals, challenges, and aspirations, and explore collaborative opportunities that align with shared objectives. Example: Initiate virtual coffee chats or personalised video messages to deepen your connections with key stakeholders, foster rapport, and explore avenues for collaboration beyond traditional networking exchanges.

  4. Harness the potential of virtual communities: Engage with niche-specific virtual communities, forums, and online groups to connect with like-minded professionals, share insights, and exchange valuable resources. Actively participate in discussions, offer strategic advice, and contribute meaningfully to community conversations to establish yourself as a trusted authority and valuable resource within your field. Example: WNA's Women in Consulting group on LinkedIn, or our Women's Network Australia LinkedIn group and our BeeKonnected group provide safe spaces to discuss emerging trends, share industry news, and seek advice on pressing challenges. We also have groups on Facebook.

We look forward to sharing insights and connecting with you through the many touchpoints we have.

WNA and Lander & Rogers announce new national partnership

Women's Network Australia welcomes our new national legal partner, Lander & Rogers

Lander & Rogers is a leading independent Australian law firm, with over 600 people and nearly 100 partners, and a leader in legal tech and innovation. With offices in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, Lander & Rogers has grown organically resulting in a highly cohesive firm focused on delivering the best law firm experience for our people, clients, and the communities in which they operate.

Lander & Rogers believes legal services involve more than just the law – practical, commercial advice and an exceptional client experience are equally important.

Partnering with Women's Network Australia

Lander & Rogers is proud to be a corporate partner of Women's Network Australia.
"Our organisations have a shared focus on celebrating diversity and fostering an environment where everyone feels valued and can reach their full potential," said Genevieve Dee, Brisbane Partner in Charge. "There is much we can achieve together in the year ahead."

Lander & Rogers' national team of legal experts includes Australia's largest and most experienced family law practice, and our market-leading employment law and workplace relations practice guiding our clients in all aspects of workforce management. We look forward to connecting and collaborating with the WNA community in 2024.

January WNA Pulse Survey Results

Women in business are optimistic about 2024, according to the Women's Network Australia January Pulse Survey. It found that 72.5% of respondents believe this year will be better for business, and 60% believe their financial position will be better, or much better.

Where are the pain points? Not enough customers and staff costs. Significantly, personal health and wellbeing ranks a major concern for our women in business, particularly those in solo enterprises. Interest rates and finding staff ranked lower for these "do it all" women who are forging ahead, but also feeling the pressure.

In our February pulse survey, we delve into business planning. Take the survey and we will share the results at the end of the month.
