Dear Guest,

For those returning to work today, welcome back!
And for those already well into the work groove, Happy Monday!

I had a 'Negative Nancy' moment this morning when I realised we're already half-way through January and I've only just clocked back into work mode. There are (at least) two things wrong with this way of thinking.

Firstly, it fails to recognise the importance of taking a break. Stepping away, resting and refreshing is just as important - perhaps more so - than crossing days off the calendar.

Secondly, it hints at unrealistic expectations. It's okay to adjust our goals and reassess what can be achieved. That's not failure, that's learning.

So, if you feel like you're off to a slow start today, rejoice in it. Acknowledge what you have achieved, and don't sweat the 'to do' list.

Have a wonderful week!
